4DX Theaters Celebrate Record Revenue Boost

Bolstered by Blockbuster Titles The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

The global company reports a record-breaking revenue of $49.6 million in the U.S. market for its state-of-the-art 4DX theaters, representing a five percent increase from their 2022 earnings.

The innovative 4DX format has captured the interest of American movie audiences, with an average revenue of $937,000 per screen recorded across 53 4DX outlets nationwide. A significant part of the 2023 revenue boost is attributed to the release of 46 different movie titles, providing an extensive selection for film buffs.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a significant contributor to the 2023 success, grossing an extraordinary $6.9 million in 4DX theaters across the U.S. Other notable movies that exceeded the revenue expectations of CJ 4DPLEX included Avatar: The Way of Water with $5.6 million and Oscar-nominated film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse recording $2.8 million.
